(Fortuna, ND) -- A woman is dead and a man is hurt following a motorcycle crash in Northwestern North Dakota's Divide County.
North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers say the crash happened about six miles east of Fortuna on Sunday around 4:20 p.m.. A pickup driven by an unnamed Williston man was traveling south along Divide County Road 2 when he failed to yield and struck a motorcycle. Two people were on the bike, both from Estevan, Saskatchewa, Canada, and were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The unnamed female passenger later died from her injuries.
Charges against the unnamed Williston man are pending.
The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The Divide County Sheriff's Office and the Williams County Emergency Management Department were among first responders on the scene.
