WILLISTON, ND - The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified those involved in a deadly head-on crash on Hwy 1804, near Williston Friday afternoon. Robert Ndahigwa, 40, Dickinson, died in the crash near mile marker 283, 25 miles east of Williston at around 4:20 p.m.

The State Patrol says Ndahigwa was driving a pickup that was struck by another pickup that failed to negotiate a slight curve in the road and crossed into the eastbound lanes. Ndahigwa died at the scene.

A passenger in Ndahigwa's pickup, Ronald Nanan, 57, of Hedgesville, WV, suffered serious injuries, as did the driver of the pickup that crossed the centerline, David Seiferd, 49, Williston. Both were taken to Tioga Medical Center. Seiferd was later transferred to Trinity Health in Minot.

It's not yet known if weather played a role in the crash. It was raining and roads were wet at the time. The State Patrol is still investigating what led up to the crash.
