(Grand Forks, ND) -- Grand Forks city officials are officially terminating a development agreement with Fufeng USA.

City officials made the decision Thursday after a January determination by the U.S. government and U.S. Air Force that the deal would pose a significant threat to national security.

The city council voted unanimously in February to cancel the proposed Chinese-owned corn milling plant project.

Grand Forks is also demanding costs, expenses and fees incurred by the city under the development agreement.
