(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota House lawmakers are advancing a bill that would toughen seatbelt laws.

The bill would require everyone in a car or truck to wear a seatbelt.

The measure would also allow law enforcement to pull someone over if they see a person not wearing a seatbelt.

The bill has already passed the Senate and is headed to Governor Burgum's desk for signature.
