North Dakota state officials prepare for possibility of spring floods

(Bismarck, ND) --  The state has begun planning for the possibility of spring floods.  

Several agencies and the National Guard met Thursday in what Governor Doug Burgam calls a whole-of-government approach toward disaster response.  

The National Weather says recent snowfall and below normal temperatures has delayed spring melting, which increases the risk of floods.
