(Pierre, SD) -- A proposed constitutional amendment allowing electronic sports betting won't be on the ballot.

The House killed the resolution this past Thursday.

Supporters said allowing legitimate sports betting would bring the practice out in the open and bring in revenue for the state. Opponents voiced concerns about gambling addiction rates.

The resolution was initiated by a citizen's group.
