(Bismarck, ND) -- A new USDA program meant to increase transparency among cattle producers goes live Monday.

The Cattle Contract Library Pilot Program requires beef packers to provide specifics on feed cattle transactions.

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said the program provides producers with up-to-date market information to make better-informed business decisions.

A webinar on how to use the program is scheduled for later this week.
