(Bismarck, ND) -- A super weed is now being found in three additional North Dakota counties.

Palmer amaranth has been documented in nearly 20 counties total. Officials say the Palmer amaranth is the biggest weed threat in the state and that they are preparing for farmers to have to battle it at some point in the future.

The cost to spray for the super weed in soybean fields is nearly three times the amount to treat for current weeds.
