(Bismarck, ND) -- Dry conditions are spreading across North Dakota as many crops are being harvested.

Officials say a quarter of the state is experiencing abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions.

Officials with several agencies say much of the Dakotas had near or below half of normal rain is the last 30 days.

The Upper Midwest is also experiencing high temperatures, resulting in more intensely dry conditions.
