(Minot, ND) -- The North Dakota State Fair is continuing, despite a bit of a hiccup early on.

Festivities got off to a rough start of Kid Rock's grandstand performance Friday night was canceled because of severe weather.

Witnesses say some fans became disruptive, while others vented because of the canceled concert. Kid Rock, his team and fair officials all say they made the decision together as severe weather and conditions worsened.

The fair parade took place Saturday, winding from the corner of Broadway and Burdick Expressway to the fairgrounds.

The state fair is North Dakota's largest annual event, attracting about 300-thousand people each year. It runs through Saturday, July 30th. Click here for more details.
