North Dakota announces program to help struggling homeowners

(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Department of Human Services is rolling out a program to help struggling homeowners.

The program announced Tuesday will help qualifying homeowners with past-due mortgage payments and housing costs, such as utilities. Homeowners may also qualify for use the assistance to help with mortgage payments for up to six months.

Total assistance can't exceed 40-thousand dollars. Households undergoing the foreclosure process are also eligible to apply.
