North Dakota Memorial Day Ceremony tradition continues

(Mandan, ND) -- The tradition of holding the North Dakota Memorial Day Ceremony is continuing for the 29th year.

The ceremony will take place at the state's Veterans Cemetery in Mandan on Monday beginning at noon. The National Guard, community members, and volunteers rehearsed for the event Thursday.

State senators and congressman, retired military, and veterans are expected to attend. The auxiliary Chaplin for the AMVETS National Ladies will sing the national anthem at the ceremony.
