Multiple officers now officially trained as Drug Recognition Experts

(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Drug Recognition Expert program is adding just over a dozen candidates to its graduation list.

The thirteen faces are joining just before April 20th, otherwise known as 420, a popular holiday for users of Marijuana. The DRE officers are trained to recognize the signs of drug use among drivers.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is also working with regional law enforcement agencies to promote a "High Visibility Enforcement Event" between April 18th and the 20th.
