(Bismarck, ND) -- Bismarck police officers are being cleared in a death that happened during an arrest last August.

Burleigh County State's Attorney Julie Lawyer said Thursday that autopsy results show 43-year-old Ryan Pederson had potentially deadly amounts of amphetamine and methamphetamine in his system while police were attempting to detain him.

Officials say Pederson died from "psychomotor agitation associated with methamphetamine toxicity and physical exertion with physical restraint." Lawyers say the officers' conduct was deemed reasonable and that the use of force didn't cause Pederson's death.
