(Fargo, ND) -- A well-known entrepreneur says he wants to bring his crypto-currency company to North Dakota, in what could be a 2 to 3 billion dollar investment.

Kevin O'Leary, a principal at Bit Zero and a host on the hit TV show Shark Tank, says his company will visit the state later this month and if they like what they see they could begin set up in the next 3 to 4 months. O’Leary says the state has an abundance of hydro-electric power which is desirable in the industry because of its limited carbon footprint.

He made the announcement this afternoon on the Chris Berg Show on AM 1100 The Flag from the 2022 Bitcoin Conference in Miami. The Bit Zero team met with officials from the ND Department of Commerce last night at a dinner meeting where the idea came together.

The North Dakota Commerce Department is now branding the state as having "the cleanest crypto on the planet". We'll keep you posted on additional details as we learn more.
