(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota Game and Fish is reminding people that the possibility of wildfires is increasing as temperatures rise.

Officials say high winds that are prevalent in spring are combining with dry conditions to raise the concern for wildfires. They say recent precipitation in the state isn't making enough of a difference in conditions to reduce the fire risk.

It's recommended that people check the daily rural fire danger index and be alert for changing conditions and high winds before doing any outdoor burning or barbecuing.
