North Dakota Veterans Cemetery receives recognition

(Mandan, ND) -- The North Dakota Veterans Cemetery is receiving recognition.

The cemetery received an award Wednesday from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for its commitment to the state's military personnel and their families. Hundreds of North Dakota service members and their families are laid to rest in the cemetery south of Mandan each year.

The award is meant to recognize the cemetery's organizational achievement in creating a supportive work environment for military personnel.
