(Minot, ND) -- A Fargo pilot and a passenger are uninjured after an emergency landing in a field just outside of Minot.

The pilot, 42-year-old Jonathan Schilling, was flying with a passenger, 41-year-old Amanda McKinnon, to Minot for a wake. Schilling says problems began to surface 50 miles from Minot when his left engine began to run rough. He was able to temporarily stall the issue, but slowly lost enough power to lose the ability to gain altitude.

The crash happened just before 4:30pm, about a mile and a half from a runway. An investigation is underway by the Federal Aviation Administration to determine the cause of the crash.
