Wahpeton - An investigation into a fire and possible explosion at the Richland County Law Enforcement Center is continuing. The fire broke out Tuesday night after a person walked into the lobby and threw something, igniting smoke and flames. No one was hurt. Federal investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives say they have identified a person of interest. The investigation continues.
The Law Enforcement Center and Courthouse were closed yesterday and inmates were transferred to the Cass and Barnes County Jail as authorities investigated, but they have since been returned.
