(Minot, ND) -- A familiar scam is resurfacing in Minot.
Residents are reporting that scammers are calling to tell them they have a warrant out for their arrest for "missing a subpoena service." Perpetrators of the variation on the Jury Duty scam direct victims to "clear" the warrant by paying a bond through Moneypak gift cards.
The scammers are using phone spoofing apps to make the calls appear to come from the Minot Police Department on Caller ID.
