(Pembina, ND) -- A blockade by trucks, farm equipment and other vehicles on the Canadian side of the Pembina-Emerson border crossing is continuing to slow traffic entering into and out of North Dakota.

The Pembina Port of Entry was nearly empty Monday, with only a single truck coming from Canada with a load of piglets. The driver says he will have to return through another port of entry because his trailer is now empty.

The group is protesting Canadian and American vaccine mandates for crossing the border. Commercial and passenger traffic has been barred from entering Canada by the blockade since February 10th.
