(Bismarck, ND) -- Spring turkey hunting season is approaching.
The application deadline for a spring turkey license is February 16th. A new regulation limits the season to shotguns and archery equipment. The new regulation allows muzzle loading shotguns no larger than ten gauge.
Wildlife officials also say spring hunting is limited to bearded turkeys. The season opens April 9th and runs through May 15th.
