(Bismarck, ND) -- An Emergency Recruitment Program is hoping to attract people to pursue nursing careers.

The North Dakota Department of Health is offering the program aimed at getting workers into skilled nursing facilities as Temporary Nurse Aides or Certified Nurse Aides. People obtaining those certifications and placing with a long-term care facility will be eligible for a two-thousand dollar sign-on payment.

The program will run through May 30th, or until 100 applicants are approved, whichever comes first.
