(Bismarck, ND) -- A Bismarck woman is facing trial in April after pleading not guilty to felony child neglect.

28-year-old Darian Walking Eagle was charged after Bismarck police found a 1-year-old and a 6-month-old unattended in separate cribs in an apartment. Walking Eagle was arrested the previous night for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after allegedly yelling and screaming in the middle of a street, waking up residents nearby. Walking Eagle did not alert authorities to the children in her apartment. The children were removed from her care at the time of Walking Eagle's arrest.

Walking Eagle says she had a babysitter for the kids but police found no evidence to support those claims. Investigations say the children were alone for 27 hours.
