(Burleigh County, ND) -- Investigators say it was icy road conditions that led to a deadly, single-car crash in Burleigh County Tuesday.
Just before 2 p.m., the driver of a 2020 GMC Sierra was heading southbound on US Highway 83 near mile marker 101 when he lost control of the vehicle and slid off the roadway. The vehicle hit the median, rolled, and then wound up partially in the northbound lanes.
The 27-year-old passenger was killed in the accident, while the 61-year-old driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
