(Minot, ND) -- COVID-19 policies at the Canadian border are affecting travel into North Dakota, tourist officials say.

Back in November last year, Canada lifted its non-essential travel ban across the border. Still, just before Christmas, Canadian officials implemented a PCR testing requirement for anyone traveling back and forth between the two countries, no matter how long they were staying.

As a result, officials with Visit Minot say travel into the state has been impacted as people need to do a little more planning than usual, even if it's just an overnight trip.
