(Washington, DC) – The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the U.S Army Corps of Engineers are urging the U.S Supreme Court to reject an appeal by the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL).

DAPL is looking to restore an environmental permit, which would give the builders of the pipeline access to build a crucial part of the project, the Missouri River Crossing.

Both The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the U.S Army Corps of Engineers filed the briefs earlier in December, urging for the court to wait until a new environmental review is completed before proceeding. The Army Corps says the review should be completed by November of 2022.
