Bismarck -- The North Dakota Dept of Health is urging residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine or the appropriate booster shot before the Omicron variant hits the state hard.  Local officials say 843 active cases of COVID-19 are currently being tracked in Cass County, a number that reportedly accounts for about one-third of all cases in the state.  They also note that the Omicron variant can spread even quicker than previous strains of the virus.

To get vaccinated, sign up at any North Dakota county health department.  Many pharmacies are also offering booster shots.
