Man arrested after striking officer and family member

(Jamestown, ND)  --  A man is under arrest for assaulting a Jamestown police officer and a family member.  

Jamestown police responded to an apartment in the 12-hundred block of Third Avenue Southwest Wednesday when a mental health professional requested an officer present.  

A fight broke out after family members showed up. 29-year-old Seth Burkle was taken to jail after police say he punched a family member and a officer trying to break up the fight.  

The officer has cuts and bruises to his face and is recovering.
