(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Agriculture department is accepting 2022 grant applications to assist in the promotion of specialty crops.

Projects meant solely to improve the competitiveness of specialty crops in the state are eligible for the grants. Some types of eligible projects include food safety, pest and disease control, seed variety and specialty crop development, and public nutrition awareness.

Special crops grown commercially in North Dakota include dry beans and peas, lentils, potatoes, confection sunflowers, grapes, honey, and several vegetables.
