‘Tight’ ammo supplies could dampen North Dakota’s deer hunting season

(Fargo, ND) -- While it's open season for deer, North Dakota hunters may face an uphill battle when it comes to locking and loading.

Retailers say the state is languishing under a national ammunition shortage that industry officials say is due to a big jump in first-time gun owners across the country.

According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, roughly 8.4 million Americans have armed themselves, ostensibly amid fears that the Biden administration may pursue policies limiting 2nd Amendment rights.
