(Bismarck, ND) -- Leaders in the North Dakota state legislature must approve any bills that will move forward to a public hearing of the issue.

Lawmakers have introduced 45 late bills they want to have considered during the upcoming special session. Only 19 relating to redistricting and American Rescue Plan allocations have been approved for hearing so far.

The other 26 must be endorsed by ranking members to be heard by the whole legislature.
