(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota regulators are allowing the state's first carbon storage project to move forward.
Regulators granted several approvals Tuesday for the project at an ethanol plant near Richardton. The project at Red Tail Energy is set to capture the facility's carbon emissions for underground storage.
The gas from the plant will be compressed and injected down a 64-hundred foot well.
