Wyndmere Crash Leaves South Dakota Man with Serious Injuries

(Wyndmere, ND) -- A South Dakota man is battling serious injuries after a crash one mile west of Wyndmere early Tuesday morning.

The State Highway Patrol says the 40-year-old man was traveling east bound on Highway 13 when he failed to maintain his lane, crossing into west bound traffic and hitting a semi head-on. 

The driver of the semi, a 64-year-old Minneapolis man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to CHI St. Francis in Breckenridge. The driver of the car was life flighted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
