(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota lawmakers are set to create subdivisions in two legislative districts. The Native American population is big enough in Districts Four and Nine to withstand possible legal challenges to subdivision, so the question will come before lawmakers today. The divisions would provide Native Americans a better chance at achieving representation in the Legislature. Lines for full districts have been tentatively set.
