Prosecutors Reach Plea Agreement On ND Lawmaker's DUI Charge

(Bismarck, ND) -- Prosecutors are moving forward with a plea agreement to settle a DUI charge against state Representative Scott Louser.

Court records show Louser will avoid trial on the first-offense DUI charge, but details of the agreement haven't been released. Records show Louser was stopped in the early morning of April 16th and a breath test showed his blood alcohol level was well above the legal limit.

Without a deal, Louser faced trial Thursday and the possibility of 30-days in jail, a $1500 fine, or both.
