(Bismarck, ND) -- Drought conditions are leading ranchers to wean calves early.
Ranchers say the cows will need less of the limited supply of grass if they aren't feeding calves. The weaning process would typically happen a month from now.
Most of the state is suffering from serious to extreme drought conditions.
