(Watford City, ND) -- A Watford City accountant is no longer convicted of wire fraud. U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland dismissed the charge against Rene Johnson yesterday. The charge was dismissed with prejudice, so it can't be refiled. Johnson was found guilty of wire fraud in 2018 after providing a loan to a man who was later a victim of one of her clients in a double murder-for-hire plot.
