Louser Set For DUI Trial In Late Summer

(Bismarck, ND)  --  North Dakota House Assistant Majority Leader Scott Louser is set to go to trial on a DUI charge in late summer.  The 49-year-old Minot Republican was stopped on the Expressway between Mandan and Bismarck in mid-April after a Highway Patrol Trooper observed his vehicle crossing the center line.  The Trooper arrested Louser for drunken driving  after the lawmaker failed three field sobriety tests and tested at jail for a blood alcohol content over the legal limit.  Louser pled not guilty through his attorney last Wednesday and waived an initial court appearance.
