(Bismarck, ND) -- Governor Doug Burgum is being given more flexibility in how he spends his salary. Burgum has a history of donating his salary to charities and causes, but a new bill would let him use the money on other items within his office's operations. The governor's salary for the current biennium is over 284-thousand dollars. The bill also makes it possible for the governor's office to accept and use federal donations to hold events and conventions.
