(Bismarck, ND) -- The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is disputing economic figures submitted to the court by Dakota Access pipeline owners. Standing Rock attorneys say numbers indicating that a shutdown of the pipeline would have a devastating economic impact are unsupported by evidence. The tribes also say that others' profits shouldn't come at the expense of the Tribes. The federal appeals court denied a request from the pipeline Friday to reconsider a ruling requiring a new environmental review while a permit remains revoked.
