Justice Department Reportedly Launching Investigation Of Minneapolis PD

(Washington, DC)  --  The Justice Department is reportedly launching an investigation of police practices in Minneapolis.  Attorney General Merrick Garland has scheduled a news conference at the Justice Department this morning.  The move comes a day after the guilty verdicts in the Derek Chauvin murder trial.  The now-former Minneapolis police officer was convicted of killing George Floyd last May.  Floyd was an unarmed Black man who died in police custody.
