(St. Paul, MN) -- Coronavirus numbers beginning to trend lower in Minnesota as widespread vaccination efforts continue.

The state department of health reported an additional 1,189 cases of the virus Tuesday, including 12 in Clay County.

Five new deaths were also reported over the last 24 hours.

2,304,975 Minnesotans have received at least one dose of a Coronavirus vaccine, while 1,630,999 residents have been fully vaccinated.

That equates to 29.1% of the state being done with the vaccination process.
