Trooper Witnesses Erratic Driving, Smells Alcohol In Louser Arrest

(Bismarck, ND)  --  A Highway Patrol Trooper says North Dakota House Assistant Majority Leader Scott Louser's vehicle crossed the center line several times on the morning of Louser's arrest for drunk driving.  The trooper also smelled alcohol on Louser early Friday morning and conducted a field sobriety test and determined the Minot Republican was under the influence of alcohol.  Louser was taken to Burleigh Morton Detention Center for testing, but was released to a responsible party instead of being booked.  Louser signed a promise to appear.  His blood alcohol content hasn't been released.
