Defense In Chauvin Trial Could Wrap Up Case Today

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  Lawyers for ex-Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin could wrap up their case today in his trial over the death of George Floyd.  They only called one witness yesterday, a forensic pathologist who testified for seven hours.  He told jurors Floyd suffered a sudden cardiac arrhythmia during his arrest last year.  He says he would've ruled his death "undetermined."  He also brought up the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning based on how close Floyd was to the police car's tailpipe.  However, he admitted he'd seen no evidence that anyone ever measured the amount of carbon monoxide in Floyd's blood.
