Governor Keeping Powers To Limit Business Hours, Capacity

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Governor Doug Burgum is keeping his powers to limit business hours and capacity during a state of emergency.  North Dakota lawmakers voted down a bill that would have stripped those powers from the governor or any government agency.  Burgum's executive orders closing businesses and limiting hours and patrons were controversial and faced lawmaker protests beginning last April.  More than 50 bills were introduced this session dealing with the pandemic.
