Central North Dakota Highway Closed Due To Suspicious Object

(Bismarck, ND) -- A highway in central North Dakota was closed for about two hours while the highway patrol investigated what was described as a suspicious object.  A transportation department employee discovered the object near mile marker 45 on U-S Highway 1804 in Emmons County yesterday afternoon.  The Bismarck bomb squad was called to the scene, and after about two hours, declared the area safe.  The highway patrol did not give any additional information about the object.
