Top MN State Officials Quarantining After Positive COVID-19 Test

(St. Paul, MN)  --  Governor Tim Walz, Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, and state Health Department Commissioner Jan Malcolm are all in quarantine.  This comes after the three were all in the same room earlier this week with a staff member who tested positive for COVID-19.  The test results came back yesterday morning.  The top state officials were not within six feet of the person, but they were in the same room during a news conference on Monday.  Their quarantine is scheduled to end on March 25th, ten days from the date of the exposure.  As a result, some of the governor's schedule, including a planned tour of the St. Cloud mass vaccination site, has been canceled.
