Chauvin Trial Judge Could Weigh In On Possible Delay

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  The judge in the trial of the former Minneapolis Police officer accused of murdering George Floyd might weigh in today on whether to delay jury selection.  The issue is how potential jurors might be affected by last week's city agreement to pay Floyd's family 27-million dollars to settle their wrongful death lawsuit.  Former officer Derek Chauvin [[ SHO-vin ]] is charged with second- and third-degree murder in Floyd's death last May.  Chauvin knelt on the unarmed Black man's neck for nearly nine minutes.
