Bill To Make Daylight Saving Permanent Fails

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Lawmakers are rejecting a bill that proposed Daylight Saving permanent.  The bill overwhelmingly failed in the House of Representatives yesterday.  Amendments added would have required other states to join the effort for it to take effect.  An identical bill passed the House earlier this session and will be heard in the Senate soon.  If it passes, permission from Congress would have to be given for it to take effect.
